MODULAR EQUIPMENT CENTERS – MEC

The custom designed Modular Equipment Centers – MEC offers customers the convenience, flexibility and cost efficiencies of pre-built, modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. These weather tight enclosures are built to resist the effects of weather as well as corrosive environments to standards as defined by National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) and can be specially modified per customer’s specification for increased wind resistance, seismic requirements (to Zone 4), wind resistance to 150 mph (FEMA 150), higher snow loads as well as enhanced corrosion protection.

Manufactured and delivered as a completely assembled enclosure, each MEC custom project goes through an initial design and development phase with formal customer review and approval before entering the fabrication phase where the environmentally resistant structure along with the specified electrical/mechanical controls are assembled, tested and approved as a unit before being shipped for installation. Internally managed as a single project with structured planning, a methodical design/approval process and the consistency of proven fabrication and assembly practices, customers can be assured of trouble-free, operational readiness at MEC commissioning.
